The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has become the first government entity in Abu Dhabi to achieve dual international certification for geospatial data, earning ISO 19115 for geographic metadata and ISO 19157 for geographic information - data quality. This milestone places SCAD among a limited number of statistical institutions globally to operationalize both standards in an integrated, production-grade environment.

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has announced that the emirate’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached AED306.3 billion in the second quarter of 2025, representing a 3.8 per cent increase compared with Q2 2024. The non-oil economy grew 6.6 per cent year-on-year to the highest quarterly value at AED174.1 billion, and for the first time in a second quarter accounted for 56.8 per cent of total GDP.

The Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has reported that the emirate’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached AED291 billion in the first quarter of 2025, recording a 3.4 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024. This performance is driven by the strength of the non-oil economy, which expanded by 6.1 per cent year-on-year, reaching AED163.6 billion. For the first time in Q1 period, the non-oil sector contributed 56.2 per cent of the total GDP, while the oil sector accounted for the remaining 43.8 per cent, equivalent to AED127.4 billion. The results highlighted the effectiveness of Abu Dhabi’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economic base.

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has released comprehensive 2024 population statistics, showing the emirate's total population reaching 4,135,985 people, representing a 7.5 per cent annual increase. This marks the first annual population release utilising Abu Dhabi’s innovative register-based census methodology.
